The road to the 2026 World Championship for Dplus KIA was far from easy. After the first matches in the LCK Playoffs, the team led by ShowMaker officially entered the top 4 after defeating KT Rolster 3-1 in the match held on Friday. This result not only helped DK qualify for the World Championship but also sent KT Rolster to the Demacia Cup Global Invitational. Notably, just a few days ago, Dplus KIA had suffered a 0-3 defeat to KT Rolster itself. The poor performance back then made fans worry, especially since DK was the team that had just won the Esports World Cup and was in good form during the mid-season LCK. To add to that, DK was nearly in danger when BNK FEARX led 2-0 in the previous match. However, the team quickly regained its form, completed the comeback, and continued to defeat KT Rolster to secure a spot in the LCK top 4. The bot lane duo became the cornerstone of DK After the reverse sweep against BNK FEARX, Dplus KIA entered the match against KT Rolster with the intention to avenge the loss. However, the first game made DK fans worry when KT quickly controlled the game and won relatively easily. However, DK immediately responded in game 2. The two teams created a gripping battle lasting 42 minutes with an extremely tense atmosphere. Afterward, the thorough preparation and reasonable ban/pick helped Dplus KIA gain the advantage. DK continuously restricted KT's favorite picks, making the opponent have very few opportunities to show their strength. One of the most prominent names on DK's side is the marksman Sin "Smash" Geum-jae. MVP of the Esports World Cup final continued to give an impressive performance, constantly creating advantages for the home team in the games Dplus KIA won. Alongside Smash, Oh "Career" Hyung-suk also had a notable return. After struggling in the first game, Career quickly regained confidence and coordinated effectively with his teammate in the bot lane. DK Returns to the CKTG Stage With the victory over KT Rolster, Dplus KIA officially returned to the world's biggest LMHT stage after missing the 2026 World Championship. Notably, Smash, Career and Jeon "Siwoo" Si-woo will be participating in a CKTG for the first time. However, before thinking about lifting the world championship trophy, DK still has a long road ahead. This team will have to win three more matches if they want to claim the LCK title. The next challenge for ShowMaker and his teammates will be against T1 in the match scheduled for Sunday. After the impressive comeback, Dplus KIA is showing that they are still one of the formidable contenders in the LCK this year. Tuấn Hưng
